Pracownia Garncarnia znajduje się w Kamionku Wielkim, 4,5 km od Sztynortu, a dawna pracownia rodu Sensfuss w nieistniejącej już miejscowości Amalienruh, dawna Puszcza Szczytnorcka, obecnie las pomiędzy Kietlicami a Sztynortem. Opowiadamy o sukcesji i tradycjach rzemieślniczych. Czy wiecie, że wokół Sztynortu wciąż znajdują się pokłady doskonałej gliny garncarskiej?

Z tych naturalnych zasobów korzystali kiedyś ceglarze, dlatego w okolicach Sztynortu znajdowały się polowe cegielnie. Ówcześni garncarze korzystali z gliny jako materiału do pracy. Stąd nazwa Kietlice (z niem. Kittlitz) wywodzi się ze staroniemieckiego określenia miejsca gdzie wydobywano glinę. Zapraszamy do obejrzenia krótkiej historii o garncarzach spod Sztynortu, dawniej i współcześnie.

Our pottery workshop “Pracownia Garncarnia” is located in Kamionki Wlk., 4,5km from Szytnort and near the old workshop of the Sensfuss family in the no longer existing village of Amalienruh, the old moors of Sztynort, nowadays the forests between Kietlice and Sztynort. Our film talks about the successes and traditions of the ancient craft. Did you know that around Sztynort there are still natural resources of excellent pottery clay?

These resources were once used by brick makers, and this is alwo why around Sztynort there were brick factories. The former potters used clay as their working material. This is where the name Kietlice (Kittlitz) comes from, it is the former German expression for a place, from which to extract clay. We invite to watch a short history of potters around Sztynort, in the past and in the present.
